SINGLE – VISION

Lenses that correct for one field of vision. Distance or near.  

SCRATCH – RESISTANT COATING

Just what it sounds like!  All our lenses are treated with a coating to help resist scratches.

UV PROTECTION 

A number of our lenses contain filters to block harmful ultraviolet light.  

CLEAR

Completely clear, all-day lenses.  

ANTI – REFLECTIVE COATING

Reduces reflections from your lens and allows more light to pass through, meaning a crisper view.

SMUDGE RESISTANT COATING

A special coating to help reduce smudge and dirt. Comes with the benefits of the anti-glare coating included.

BLUE LIGHT FILTER COATINGS

Advised for people who spend a lot of time in front of digital devices, this coating reflects a portion of blue light 

POLYCARBONATE LENSES STANDARD

Standard with any Warby Parker optical order, these are some of the most lightweight and impact-resistant lenses available.

1.67 HIGH – INDEX LENSES THIN & LIGHT

If you have a strong prescription, you may want to opt for 1.67 high-index lenses, which are up to 20% thinner than polycarbonate lenses with the same prescription.

1.71 HIGH – INDEX LENSES SUPERTHIN 

If you have a strong prescription, you may want to opt for 1.67 high-index lenses, which are up to 33% thinner than polycarbonate lenses with the same prescription.

LIGHT-RESPONSIVE/ REACTIVES/ ADAPTIVES 

These lenses have the abillity to change from a clear lens to a dark tinted lens in the presents of UV light. This normally means they stay clear indoors and change when outdoors when UV rays are present, this can mean even on a cloudy day. They do not change behind the wheel.

SOLID TINT

Our solid sun lenses come in a glorious array of colors, from blue to green to brown to grey to violet (and beyond).

POLARISATION

Light rays reflecting off pavement, snow, or water can impair your vision. The polarized filter in many of our sun lenses reduces this glare—and that filter comes securely encased in your lenses so it won’t wear off over time. (Any sunglasses marked as “including polarized lenses” come with this treatment at no additional cost.)

NON- PRESCRIPTION FRAMES 

Select “Single-vision prescription” when adding a frame to your cart, and in checkout you’ll have the option to select lenses that have no prescription at all, or lenses that offer simple magnification (like the ones you get off the spinny rack at the pharmacy). They both come with all the same protective treatments as our prescription lenses.

POLORISED LENS

Lenses with a special filter to allow light to pass in one direction. This reduces glare.

POLYCARBONATE

A plastic lens material with high impact resistance.
